Live-in Caregiver for senior with severe dementia

Live-in caregiver needed for female senior in Toronto (Yonge & Lawrence)
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time (40hr/week)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assisting with personal care: bathing, grooming, exercise, hygiene tasks
• Basic food preparation: cooking; persuading senior to eat
• Light housekeeping; foster a safe home environment
• General health care: overseeing and administering medication per instructions
• Mobility assistance: attending doctor’s appointments and social events
• Provide companionship and emotional support for her safety and wellbeing
• Monitor blood pressure twice a day
• Overall assistance with activities of daily life
Requirements:
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin (oral)
• Clear police records
• High school diploma or above in education
• Completion of a training program or related work experience in elderly care
• Ability to tend to emotional and physical needs of senior
• CPR and First AID certification
